The admissions reality
Why universities are looking beyond grades.
Top universities increasingly seek students who demonstrate initiative, intellectual curiosity, leadership and measurable real-world impact.
Strong academics are expected, but what makes an applicant memorable is the story behind the achievements — the projects they build, the problems they solve and the impact they create.
The GenPurple Fellowship is designed to help exceptional students build that story.
A note before you apply
Dear future Fellow,
Grades open doors. But what people remember is you: the questions you can't stop asking, the problem you decided to fix, the idea you stayed up late to build.
The GenPurple Fellowship exists to help you find that story and tell it well. For six months, thirty Fellows learn, build and travel together, guided by founders, educators, researchers and admissions experts who will be in your corner the whole way.
We don't expect you to have it all figured out. We only ask that you come curious.
We can't wait to meet you.
With warmth,
The GenPurple Fellowship team
